Shia LaBeouf Will Play His Dad In A Biopic Of His Life.

Yes you have read the title right, Transformers actor Shia LeBeouf will be playing his most daring role yet, that of his father. The story will be loosely based on the actor childhood.  

Honey Boy is titled after the nickname the actor had in childhood, and will focus on the difficult relationship LaBeouf had with his father over the course of a decade.

The project will be directed by Alma Har’el, Variety has reported the story will follow a child start who is trying to reconcile his relationship with his “law breaking alcohol-abusing father” over the course of a decade. 

As LaBeouf is playing his father,  Lady Bird and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri star Lucas Hedges will be playing the young Shia. 

LeBeouf has had rough couple of years himself, compounded by multiple arrests, and some worrying behaviour.

He admitted last year that: “My outright disrespect for authority is problematic to say the least, and completely destructive to say the worst. It is a new low.

“I have been struggling with addiction publicly for far too long, and I am actively taking steps securing my sobriety and hope I can be forgiven for my mistakes.”

The star has claimed his problems with his father started on the set of Even Stevens, when his gave [him his] first joint when [he] was probably 11 or 12″.
