You can now eat at some of the best restaurants and not have to worry about your wallet being drained. We’ve done the research if you opt for the lunch menu at these restaurants as opposed to the evening meals which are considerably more expensive. You can dine for less.
Here are nine restaurants which all have one Michelin star and are less than £20 for two lunch courses.
1. The Ninth, London
You probably didn’t expect a restaurant in the heart of London to be on this list, considering a simple Chipotle can run you £10.
This French-Mediterranean restaurant has excellent sharing food such as King Prawn Macaroni and Char-grilled Lamb. Two plates will run you about £19 whereas three plate will cost £25.

The Elephant even has its own farm, it is one of the best restaurants in the UK to get a good meal.
Their set lunch menu is perfect for a good lunch date without spending too much. With prices starting at £16.50 for two courses from the set lunch menu or you can upgrade to three courses for £19.95. Current options for mains are: Breast of crediton duckling, heritage carrots, Brixham honey, blood orange or Brixham hake, seaweed and smoked eel butter sauce. If you are going to frequent the Elephant, don’t worry, the menu is always changing.
3. Bohemia, Saint Helier
Bohemia doesn’t offer three courses like The Elephant, for 19.00 you can get one main, however, you get over seven choice for a main. So you will find meal that will leave you satisfied.
If you are wiling to spend more, for £27.50, you can upgrade to three courses, with choices for starter, main and dessert.
4. Ormer by Shaun Rankin, Saint Helier

Ormer do an express lunch for all those quick eater, for just £9, this gives you a delicious course of meat, fish, vegetable along a glass of wine. This runs Monday-Friday.
If you are a slow eater like us, you might want to stay for longer and have two courses for £22 or you can sample three courses for £27.

Turners @ 69 offers a bargain two-course lunch at £18.99 Monday-Saturday or three courses for £24.99.
You won’t have a lack of choices here, their set menu is plentiful. You can choose from Ham hock terrine with pickles, coriander and mustard to start, Ox cheek steamed pudding with creamed potatoes and bone marrow sauce for main and bread and butter pudding with vanilla ice cream for pudding.
6. Sir Charles Napier, Oxfordshire
The great thing about Sir Charles Napier is not their great prices, a two course meal costs £19.50 (Monday-Friday), but you can also request the lunch menu during dinner service, so you can always make great savings whenever you feel like eating Michelin starred food.
The menu changes constantly, currently you can choose from three options for each course including the likes of Crisp tamworth pork belly with apple and vanilla puree, a frissee salad (to start) and Cornish hake with jerusalem artichoke risotto, parsley sauce and truffle vinaigrette (main).
